GLBT Caucus 2010 General Election Endorsements & Recommendations

The lists below indicate the winning and losing candidates
as well as the percentage of the vote each received.

INTRODUCTION

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Caucus of the Democratic Party of Hawai‘i endorses candidates for the general election only if the candidate has completed the survey required by the Democratic Party of Hawai‘i.

  • We endorse with enthusiasm those extraordinary Democrats who have completed the survey and unequivocally championed the cause of civil rights for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender communities.

  • We endorse those Democrats who have completed the survey and supported the cause of civil rights for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender communities.

  • For informational purposes only, we have also listed:

    • legislators who have supportive voting records, but failed to file the Party survey

    • candidates in nonpartisan races who have completed the Party survey with supportive responses

    • legislators for which we have made no statement

    • legislators who have opposed civil unions, or have made statements indicating that they opposed civil unions
